Liam McElhinney

Chief Winemaker

Liam is the Marlborough-born genius behind some of the world’s most iconic Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir wines. His career began in New Zealand where he worked for a number of esteemed wineries such as The Ned, Saint Clair, Te Pa and Trinity. He has won numerous awards, including the 2023 winner of the prestigious Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy for Best Young Red Wine and a Best in Show Trophy at the Decanter World Wine Awards. Liam is a cool climate winemaking expert with previous experience in wineries across some of New Zealand’s most premium wine regions, as well as working in France, Canada and the United States.

John Fogarty

Chief Viticulturist

John has been the Chief Viticulturist for the Fogarty Wine Group since 2002 and oversees the management of the Group’s premium vineyard sites across Australia. John’s focus on sustainability, fruit quality and innovation ensures only the best fruit is available to the winemakers. In 2017 he was awarded the Langton’s prestigious Viticultural Excellence Award. John is ably supported in Tasmania by Christian de Camps and at Lowestoft by Fred Peacock who is one of Tasmania’s and Australia’s most highly regarded viticulturists. Fred has managed the Lowestoft vineyard for over 30 years.
